The appointments to the Boards, Commissions, and Committees must be a qualified elector of the City from the respective Councilmanic District and shall hold no paid office or employment in the City government. Linda Devine, City Clerk City of Seal Beach Pursuant to Government Code §54970, also known as the Maddy Act, on or before December 31 of each year, each legislative body shall prepare an appointments list of all regular and ongoing boards, commissions, and committees, which are appointed by the legislative body of the local agency. At a City Council meeting held on January 9, 2012 the Seal Beach City Council made appointments to those positions with vacancies or schedule expired terms as of 2011. The positions listed (highlighted in yellow) are those appointments that will expire in 2012 or are currently vacant.
