Notice of Speoial Meeting. - , NOTIOE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that a Special Meeting of the Oity Ccu~ Council of the City of Seal Beach is oalled at the request of the Mayor for the purpose of making appointments to fill vacancies on the Polioe Department, and for any and all other matters of business which may properly come before said Oity Oounoil. Rifle Mayor Reed stated that the members of the Seal Beach Rifle Club Volunteers.Club have volunteered their services for police duty. Oity Attorney Dana R. Williams.stated that volunteer help, in I order to be protect&d under Workmans' Compensation Insurance, in oase of accident, must be made regular employees of the Oity with oompensation of $1.00 per month or more. Mayor Reed declared a 5 minute recess to get names of the Riflemen. Meeting called to order. RESOLUTION NO. 504 was introduced and read. - A RESOLUTION Reso. 504- Specia"l Officers. 93 PROVIDING FOR THE APPOINTMENT OF THE OITY OF SEAL BEAOH~ OALIFORNIA, OF SPEOIAL POLICE OFFIOER6. It was moved by Postal, seconded by Felts that Resolution No. 504 be adopted. AYESl: NOES: ABSENT: Counoilmen Felts, Henkey, Postal, Reed None Oouncilman Hughes Motion carried. Mr. J. P. Butler, President of the Seal Beach Boys' Olub addressed the Oouncil regarding the Oity's ordinance on boxing regu- lations and lioense. He stated that Huntington Beach High School has loaned two ma~ts to the Boysl Olub. Mr. Butler was assured that the license specified in the ordinance will be waived upon application.
