The City Council of the City of Seal Beach, California,
met in special session as required by law to canvass the returns
of the special MUnicipal Election held~inithe C~ty'"of Seal Beach
on Friday the 12th day of May, 1944.
Meeting was called to ordsr at 7:30 P. M. by Mayor Reed with
salute to the Flag.

City Clerk read a copy of the notice for the Special Meeting
The City Council proceeded to tabulate and check the official
report of ballots cast at the three precinct polling places.
The results were as follows:

If the recall prevails shall the Council

Sealed envelopes of absent voters ballots were not opened
as there are two ballots that had not yet been returned.
Moved by Councilman Gauntner, seconded by Ashman that the
ballots as read from the official reports of Election Officials
of the three voting precincts be accepted and approved.
