M. and was called to order by Mayor Gauntner with salute to the Flag. ROLL CALL: I Present, Mayor Gauntner Councilmen, Reed, Shouler, Butler, Jaeckel Absent, None The minutes of regular meeting of August 17, adjourned meeting of August 22, and Special Meeting of August 25, were read and approved on Mayor'S motion. Petition from members of the Babtist Church for permission to use the City Hall for a week's "Series of Services". It was Babs't Church moved by Councilwoman Reed that request be received and filed, and that the matter of time assignment be referred to Nola Thomas and Chief Howard, seconded by Jaeckel, AYES: NOES: ABSENT: Reed, Shouler Butler Jaeckel, Gauntner None None Hous'n Motion carried Letters of Frank Gordon, M. M. and D. M. Brockway, carrying 0, K, of Building Inspector Krenwinkel, asking for return of Housing I - Re - Location Bond Deposit. It was moved by Jaeckel, seconded by Re-Loc Reed that the City Treasure be directed to so do. K. It was moved by Shouler, second"d by Butler that when fence was approved bond be released. t . Letter carried not~tion by Building Inspector as Housrn follows "Not approved as per application on file". It was moved by Re-Loc'n Butler to receive and file and motion by Shouler, seconded by Jaec~l that 60 % of bond deposit be returned, and City Attorney be directed to draw'up new contract granting an additional 120 day extention on the balance. AYES: NOES: ABSENT: Reed, Shouler, Butler, Jaeckel, Gauntner None None' I Motion carried City Attorney Williams read a request from the Philip Norton Company for installation of utilities in Tract 698, Attorney ut il' s 698 Williams made a report of his findings on the Lang Bus rerouting into Seal Beach,and a report on Oity tax acquired lots. ' ACCOUNTS AND BILLS: Demands numbering 278 to 360 inclUSive were read. It was moved by Jaeckel, seconded by Butler that bills as read be approved and warrants be drawn on the Treasury for same.
