The City Council of the City of Seal Beaoh met in regular session
at 8:00 P. M. and was called to order by Mayor Jaeckel with salute

The minutes of regular meeting of July~were read and
approved on Mayors motion. Councilwoman Reed took her seat at the
olose of reading of minutes.
COW4UNICATIONS:
Letter announcing dates for the forthcoming Huntington Beach
Oounty Fair, August 16 to 19 inolusive. Referred to the Ohamber
of Commeroe.
Letter of Southern Counties Gas Co., stating that they had
Lightening Oorporation. Received and filed.
Larry Sheehanls request for removal of fire hydrant 'a~
13th Street and Highway. It was moved by Shufelt, seconded by

Letter of H. W. Funke, Attorney askin~ amending of Zoning
Ordinance in interest of Earl H. Jones, to permit establishing
of dry cleaning plant. It was moved by Reed, seconded by Shufelt
that on account of preceedent established and location of plant
request be refused.

After a long disoussion of zoning of industrial property Oouncil

The request of the Seal Beach Trailer Sales Agency for

the Building Superintendent for attention.

Tractor traotor offered by the Shepherd Tractor and Equipment Oompany for
the sum of $2,100.00 plus sales tax be accepted and the tractor
purchased.
