M. and was called to order by Mayor Jaeckel with salute to the Flag. Present, Absent, Mayor Jaeckel Councilmen, Shufelt, Butler, Shouler Councilmen, Reed The minutes of regular meeting of August 20th were read and day approved after slight deletion in motion on Victory Holiday, all members agreeing to the correction. COMMUNICATIONS: Letter of Mrs. Groves requesting removal of trees on her property Trees received and filed and request denied. . Letter from President of Lions Club thanking Council for so Lions Club generously providing the Sun Room for the Club's Fish Fry. R. & F.' Letter of the Fire Department requesting change in Fire Depart-' Bids TrailerButler, seconded by Shufelt that same be for oheck up and report at next meeting. Fire Dept I Bd of Eqiz I Sewer Park Tax Warrnl ment Compensation Ordinance. Received and Filed and held in abeyance for future study. Letter of State Board of Equalization fixing assessed valuation for Seal Beach Public Utilities. Received and Filed. It was moved by Butler, seconded by Shouler that reports be received and filed. Motion oarried ACCOUNTS AND BILLS: Demands numbering 222 to 295 inclusive, amounting to $9,143.96 were read.
