The City Council of the City of Seal Beach, met in regular
session at 7:30 P. M. and was called to order by Mayor Jaeckel
with salute to the Flag.

The minutes of regular meeting of January 17, were read and
approved on Mayors motion.

Protest petition and three letters from property owners protesting
proposed general re-zoning. It was moved by Reed, seconded by Shuf-
elt that letter of Mr. Gibson asking for re-zoning of property at IS/5

for rest home be referred to the Planning Commission.

It was moved by Shufelt that letters and petition protesting re-
zoning be referred to the Planning Commission with the suggestion
that present planning prevail and anyone wanting to re-zone make
written request and proceed as in the past with usual established
proceedure. Applicant to defray cost of said re-zoning.

The City Council met in special session at 9:00 A. M.

The consent for holding of special meeting is as follows.
"We the undersigned members of the City Council of the City of
Seal Beac1 California, do hereby consent to the holding of a
special meeting of the City Council for the purpose of directing
the City Clerk to advertise for sealed bids for the furnishing
of Water Pipe for the water mains and the Sand-Blasting and 'I
painting of the Municipal Pier, and ~or any and all other matt
.of business that may properly come before said City Council.
Such Special Meeting to be held on Friday the 8th day of
February, 1946, at the hour of 9:00 o'clock A.M. of said day.
