The. City Council of the City of Seal Beach met in regular sessi~
at 8:00 P. M. and was called to order by Mayor Pro Tem Shufelt with
salute to the Flag. '

The minutes of regular meeting of April 18 were read
correction made that City Clerk was to secure withholding tax
slips from members of the election board minutes were approved on
Mayor Pro Tem'e motion.
COMMUNICATIONS:
Letter of Fire Department calling attention to not receiving
the monthly ratio of $500.00 per annum additional appropriated to
the department budget. It was moved by Butier, second by Webster
that the City Attorney be directed to present an amendment giving
effect to this addition.

and Stockon for permission to erect a Neon sign at Main St. and
Highway 101 be granted, provided they assume their own maintenance.

direc~ed to write the American Legion and Seal Beach Riflemen to

City Clerk was directed to write Congreseman John Phillips in-
forming him that Seal Beach would be very glad to have him give
every assistance possible in securing the location of the West Coadt

dates be changed to the second and fourth Wednesday of each m9nth
and the City Attorney be directed to introduce such ordinance.

It was moved by Reed, second by Butler that Sperry Knighton be
directed to stripe the east side of Main Street to provide for dia-
ognal parking.

Reguarding the proposed Grayhound lines into Seal Beach, City
Clerk was directed to instruct Mr. Maxwell their representative to
consult with the City Attorney on the matter.
