The City Council of the City of Seal Beach met in regular sessim
at 7:30 P. M. and was called to order by Mayor Jaeckel with salute
to the Flag.

The minutes of regular meeting of September 27 were read and
approved on. Mayors motion.

The regular order of business was temporarly suspended to hear

end of Seal Way, as to unsightly conditions prevailing in the neigh-
borhood. Matter referred to the City Engineer for report,
COMMUNICATIONS:
Petition of nine (9) property owners on 14th Street asking that
inprovements for betterment of the street be made, Received and filed
Letter of Ben F. Sloter requesting building permit to complete
structure at 225, l~th Street. Referred to the Building Committee
and City Engineer to check on. Received and Filed.
It v'ae moved by Butler, second by Shufelt that the Chamber of
Commerce be written requesting them to state what they would be
willing to furnish in the way of copy for ad on sign near the Trailer
Park and the painting of said,ad if the City would restore sisn to
a condition ready for the advertising copy,

Letter of Seal Eeach Riflemen asking for renewal of lease on the
Beach Parking Lot. Receive~ and filed.

expense of Christmas decorations to the amount of $150.00 on the
part of the City.

Councilwoman Reed called attention to the uerbal arrangement with
the Municipal Equipment that they would procure the chassis upon whicl
to' mount the new fire equipment and bill the City for sa.me,
It was moved by Butler, second by Reed that City Clerk confirm
by letter to the Greyhound Bus Lines the change in routing agreed
upon with their representative. Change to be from Central to Elec-
tric Avenue

It was moved by Reed, second by Butler that reports as read for
t~e month of September of Police Chief, City Judge, Building Dept"
Water and Tax Departments be approved,
