February 13, 1947.
The City Council of the City of Seal Beach met i~ regular session
at 7:30 P. M. and was called to order by Mayor Jaeckel with salute
to the Flag.
Present,

Councilmen, Webster, Shufelt
Councilmen, Butler, Reed
Absent,
The minutes of regular meeting of January 22, were read and after
some discussion on permit of William Sparrer, minutes were approved
on M~yor's motion.
COMMUNICATIONS:
Request of Mrs. J. Grant for release of Housing Bond Re-location
permit No. 2567 issued to Fred J. Meisen. It was moved by Webster,
Meisen
second by Shufelt that the City Treasurer be directed to so do after
Bond

Letter of George P. Chalfant, suggesting means of raising new
income for the City. Received an~ filed.
Letter. of Robert R. Hughes reguarding removal of vegetable stand
at Main Street and Highway. Held over to meeting of February 26th.
City Attorney to check on zoning.
Letter of American Legion requesting renewal of Parking Lot lease.

Notice of hearing March 5, on Alamitos Bay development, Received
and filed. Oity Attorney directed to prepare a resolution affirming
the Cities stand on the proposal.
Letter of James C. Boles making suggestion for \'teed clearance.
Report for the month of January of City Judge, Police Chief,

BUilding, Water and Tax Departments. It was moved by Shufelt, seco~d
by Webster that reports be received and filed.

On_motion by Mayor Jaeckel it was decided to direct the Main-
tenance Foreman and City Engineer to extend the east side Parking
Lot 150 feet fuvther south.

Meeting adjourned on Mayors motion.
