M. and was called to order by Mayor Jaeckel with salute to the Flag. Present, Absent, Mayor Jaeckel Councilmen, Webster, Shufelt, Reed Councilman, Butler The minutes of regular meeting of February 13th were read and approved on Mayore motion. OF Letter of the Board of Supervisors extending invitation to the Sup.'s Council to be present on visitors day at the County offices on Saturday March 8th. Received and Filed De-z It was moved by Shufelt, second by Reed to instruct the City one Attorney to prepare an ordinance amendment, de-zoning the 150 foot North strip north of the highway and to notify the owners of such intention. Miller reported that the lot at 146, 13th Street had been 13th cleared of the old house and $3e.00 rreceived for the salvage, St Bids Wa ter Pipe Bids for installing of the new water pipe were publicaly opened. It was moved by Reed, second by Shufelt that report of City Treasurer and City Clerk be received and filed, AYES: NOES: ABS~!iT : Webster, Shufelt, Reed, Jaeckel None Butler Motion carried Demands numbering 930 to 952 inclusive amounting to $3,899.25 as approved by the Finance Committee were prese~ted.. BOles for the work be accepted. that the Mayor be authorized to sign said contract and the Fire Chief to supervise the work and make a record of all lots cleaned. I. It was moved by Shufelt, aecond by Reed that Resolution 60S be adopted. It was moved by Shufelt, second by Webster that Resolution No. 609 be adopted and the City Clerk directed to send a certified copy to the Orange County Board of Supervisors. Motion carried It was moved by Reed, second by Webster that the City Clerk directed to write the Auto Club regarding signs pointing to the bel. Si gns Post Office location. Putman be a~arded the floor job and Art Venetian Blind Co. .the blinds as per memo dated February 26th, AYES: Webster, Shufelt, Reed, Jaeckel NOES: None ABSENT: None Motion carried It was moved by Webster, second by Shufelt that the sum of $125.00 be allowed for the purchase of a new rug for the City Hall Apartment. 1 AYES: NOES: ABSENT: Webster, None Butler Motion carried Shufelt, Reed, Jaeckel It was moved by Reed, second by Shufelt that the City Clerk be directed to advertise for sealed bids for a truck for the Main- Truck tenance Department. The City Council of the City of Seal Beach met in adjourned session at 9:00 A. M. and was called to order by Mayor Jaeckel. Present, Absent, Mayor Jaeckel Councilmen, Wemster Shufelt, Reed. . Councilman, Butler .1 The first order of business was the consideration of bids re- ceived for the laying of .the new water pipe. After due consider- ation, it was moved by Reed, second by Shufelt.to accept the bid of Merritt Welding Contractors and to extend the time of completion to sixty (60) days instead of the thirty five (35) as proposed in their bid. City Attorney dire~ted to prepare said contract and the Mayor authorized to sign same when approved by both parties.
