The City Council of the Oity of Seal Beach met in regular session and was called to order my Mayor Shufelt with salute to the Flag. ".a<# The minutes of regular meeting of December~and special meeting of January 2nd were read and approved on Mayors motion. OOMMUNICATIOI~S: Letter of Merritt Welding Oontractors asking for final 15% settle- ment on their Water Lines contract. Referred to City Attorney. Memorandum of Oity Engineer and Fire Chief on the vegetable stand at Main Street and Highway. It was moved by Webster, second by Bro- strom that notice be sent to operators of said stand to start to bring property up to legal regulations within 30 days or vacate the premises. AYES: NOES: ABSENT: Webster, Brostrom, Aramgost, Jacobsen, Shufelt None Nons Motion carried Letter of Planning Commission recommendation of six (6) months extension to R. P. Glasco on his re-zoning of Lots 1-2 Block 6, Bay City Tract. It was moved by Brostrom, second by Armagost that re- commendation be approved. AYES: NOES: ABSENT: Webster, Brostrom, Armagost, Jacobsen, Shufelt None None Motion carried Letter of the Chamber of Commerce requesting Council to place on o of C , the ballot of the April election the matter of a recreational building Beach and concessions adjacent to the Pier entrance. Received and Filed Conn- cess1n for further consideration. Also a request to place on the Ballot the I Pav'ng re-zoning of all property East of Main Street and South of Electric, that which is not business; from single. to multiple zone. As the Planning Oommission has been directed to set date for hearing on same no action was necessary. City Engineers report on west end paving, referred to City Atty. Report for the month of December of City Judge, Police Chief, Building Department, ~ater an4 Tax departments was read. It was moved'by Jacobsen, seco~ by Armagost that reports be received and Filed. Motion carried Demands numbering 777 to 868 inclusive amounting to $7,765.84 approved by the Finance Oommittee were presented for payment. as It was q~S moved by. Jacobsen, second by Arma.gost that demands be approved and warrants drawn on the Treasury for same. It was moved by Brostrom, second by Jacobsen that Resolution No. 632 be adopted. Authorising Mayor and City Clerk to sign deeds for lots sold at tax sale. It was moved by Webster, second by Armagost that Resolution No. 633 be adopted.
