The City Council of the City of Seal Beach met in regular
session at 8:00 P. M. with Mayor Pro-Tem Brostrom presiding. Meet-
ing was called to order with salute to the Flag.
Present, Bowers, Leonard, Jacobsen

The minutes of regular meeting of may 19th and regular adjour-
ned meeting of May 25, were read and after correction in the employ-
ment of Ray Overacker minutes were approved.
COMMUNICATIONS:
Report of G. Stangeland on umbrella concession, w~th cheok for
$82.20, cities % on umbrella concession to Mfy 31st. Received & F.
It was moved by Jaoobsen, second by Bowers to adopt the re-'
commendation of Oity Engineer Woolley as a whole and proceed with
the recommended work.

It was moved by Leonard, second by Jacobsen to adopt the
recommendation of the Building Inspector ,as to adjusting permit
fees and the City Attorney directed to prepare such ordinance.

Letter of Mrs . J. A. Chamberlain asking aouncil to provide
a suitable place for the possessions of the Seal Shell Artcraft
Club. Received and filed and Councilmen Leonard and Jacobsen
appointed as a committee to contact the School Superintendent and
see if a suitable place cannot be provided at the school building.
Applications for permits for the sale of IISafe and Sane Fire
Works were received from the American Legion, AMVETS, Chamber of
Commerce, Lions Club, Jacok Westmoreland, J. R. Pargman, John P.
Johnson, Lew Webster, Wilbur Freeman, and Mary O. Cervice. It was
moved by Leonard, second by Bowers that upon approval of the Fire
Ohief, licenses be issued with the reservation that all parties who
sell from seperate structures from their stores, pay the usual
license fee. That the time of sale be prescribed as from 7:00 o'clock
A. M. to 12 0,' clock P. M., midnight
