Meeting w~s called to order with salute to the Flag. Psesent ~yor Shufelt Councilmen, Bowers, Brostrom, Leonard, Jacobs'en Absent, Councilmen, None The minutes of Tegular meeting of June 15 were read and app- roved on Mayors motion. I OOMMUNICAUOU: Letter of L. A. Greenman asking for a lease of the East Beach for the purposs of developing a trailer park. On motion by Bowers Trail'r second by Brostrom matter was referred to City Attorney. Park Engineer. Letter of Chamber of Oommerce asking Oouncil to waive the license fee on a proposed carnival to be sponsered by the Chamber. It was moved by Leonard, second by Jacobsen that permit be granted upon payment of the regular license fee to the Oity. Motion Carried Unanimous Fire Report of the Fire Department for the fiscal year 1948-1949 5; Locks Arner ich Water Sewer C of C Carni- val Motion carried Unami~ Letter of Nick-O-Lock 00 proposing deal for placing their locks on rest room toilets. Held for further consideration. Letter of James V. Arnerich asking the Cities co-operation in placing water and sewer connections to his property at Highway 101 near the flood control. Held in abeyance for a report from his I Dept received and filed. Letter of William C. Jerome announcing amount of Cities portion County Gas of Dounty' Gas Tax moneys. It was moved by Jacobsen, second by ~, Tax ' Brostrom that matter of streets to be improved with this money be referred to Roy Thomas for recommendation. Countr- yman Weeds Motion carried Un, Letter of Bruce Oountryman regarding his claim on Oity tax deeded lots. Referred to City Attorney. Street Superintendant submitted-his report on the weed abatement 1 order. No objections were registerea. It was moved by ~eonard, seconc by Bowers to close the hearing and approve the report. Motion carried Unanimous Ordinance No. 358 was introduced. Amendment to the Business License. It was moved by Jacobsen, s~cond by Brostrom that Ordinan ce No. 358 reading be dispensed with. Motion carried Unanimous It was moved by Brostrom, second by ~eoQbsenthat Ordinance No. 358 be sent to its 2nd reading and adoption. Motion carried Un. Ordinance No 359 was introduced., Cresting disaster council. It was moved by Brostrom, second. by Jacobsen to dispense with the reading of Ordinance No. 359. Motio, carried Unanimous It was moved by Brostrom, second by Leonard that Ordinance No. 359 be sent to its 2nd reading and adoption. Motion carried Unanimous Tax' It was moved by Jacobsen, second by Brostrom to accept the City Deed Lot Ass.essors Tax deed to Lot. 5, Block 109, Bay City Tract. Motipn carried Unanimous Water It was moved by Jacobsen, second by Bowers to amend the present Sewer InstlNOrdinance on water and sewer instillation charges and the Building Chg Inspeotor and City Attorney direoted to proceed with such revision.
