HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC Min 1949-01-03 438 Seal Beach, California, January 3, 1949. The Oity Council of the City of Seal Beach met at 6:30 P. M. to consider jhe request of Foster E. and Bessie I. Greenwood for non-conforming use permit on Lots 24 - 26 - 28 and Southerly one- half of Lot 30, Block 8, Bay Oity Tract. Yayor Pro-Tem Brostrom acted as chairman in the absence of Mayor Shufelt. Present, Absent, Yayor Pro-Tem Brostrom Councilmen, Bowers, Leonard, Jacobsen Mayor Shufelt ' I The letter of application requesting non-conforming permit by the Greenwoods was read. After some discussion on the matter it Green- wood's . was moved by Leonard, second by Bowers to grant said permit upon conditions as follows. That the rear forty five (~5) feet of said lots extending from t'he alley west be covered in said permit, that the remaining 72' 6" of said lots remain in the Multiple Family use zone, with no traffic passage way across said portion of said Non- Con- forming Lots connecting with the rear 45 feet. All animals and pets of Use every description shall at all times be housed and in enclosures in said building, excepting two watch dogs and one Siamese Oat to Permit . }' guard the premises, the same to be at all times confined to the premises of the applicants. It is understood that said premises dogs & cats prohibited are to be used solely for the sale of Pets 'If Pet Supplies, Garden Supplies and Nursary Stock exclusively. The applicants'have sub- mitted two (2) seperate sketches. The transformation of premises must be completed within ninety (90) days from January 3, 1949. Plan No. 1 shows plan of ground erea to be occupied. Plan No. 2 shows Pet shop building as it will be when remodeled. Upon any upon 30 days notice violation of said permit said pr~perty shallArevert to its original I, statas of Multiple Family use. In event of sale or transfer of any upon 30 days notice portion of above described property the same~shall revert to its original, Multiple Family use. The acceptance of this permit in writing by the applicants ,shall constitute a binding contract. Motion carried Report for the month of December of Police Chief, City Judge, Building, Water and Tax Departments were read. It was moved by Leonard, second by Jacobsen that reports be received and Filed. Motion carried Demands numbering 806 to 891 inclusive as approved by the Fin- ' ance Committee, amounting to $7,745.94 were presented. It was moved by Bowers, second by Jacobsen that bills be allowed and warrants drawn on the Treasury for same.
