M. and was called to order by Mayor Shufelt with salute to the Flag. Present, Absent, I Mayor Shufelt Oouncilmen, Bowers, Brostrom, Jacobsen, Leonard Oouncilmen, None The minutes of regular meeting of May 2nd were read and approved on Mayors motion. Legion Council to Auxil and Filed. Letter of American Legion Auxiliary extending invitation to the participate in the Poppy d~y program of May 19th. Received Letter of the Outboard Boating Club expressing appreciation of Out- board the Oouncils action in granting lease of lots North of City Hall Boat property to the Youth Foundation. Received and Filed. Club Letter of the City Engineer reviewing observations and developments Water at the City Water wells. It was moved by Leonard, second by Bowers Wells that Mr. Miller make contact with A. L. Sonderegger for meeting with Woolley and inform Oouncil members as to time and date. Ord. It was moved by Bowers, second by Jacobsen to waive the reading of Ordinance No. 377. Sewer Land Initi- ative City Attorney presented Lease which he was directed to prepare between the City and Youth Foundation. Oouncilman Brostrom objected to making of lease. Lease was read in full by the Clerk. It was moved by Leonard, second by Jacobsen that Lease be tabled until such time as plans and specificstions are completed and submitted. AYES: NOES: ABSENT: Leonard, Jacobsen, Bowers, Brostrom, Shufelt None None Motion carried I Agreement between the City and V.F.W. for East and West Beach Parking lot was read in full. It was moved. by. Bowers, second by Brostrom that Mayor and City Clerk be directed to sign said lease agreement. AYES: NOES: ABSENT: Leonard, Jacobsen, Bowers, Brostrom, Shufelt None None Motion carried City Attorney informed Council that he had received a concession of 10 percent reduction on the original priced asked by the Hellman intertsts for the sewer plant land. It was moved by Bowers, second by Jacobsen that the Hellmans be notified that if the price is not drastically reduced that the City would proceed with the condemnation suit.
