M. with Mayor Shufelt presiding, meeting was oalled to order with salute to the Flag. Present, Absent, Mayor Shufelt Councilmen, Leonard, Jacobsen, Brostrom, Bowers Councilmen, None and I The minutes of regular meeting of September 19th were read approved on Mayor's motion. COMMUNICATIONS: Letter of Glen O. Jones, President Cham~r of Commerce thanking the Council for the Trophy and their cooperation in helping to make the Youth Day celebration a success. Received and Filed. Letter of Robert R. Weyman, Chairman of Youth Day Committee Comm thanking the City for their cooperation and assistance. Received and Filed. Whitt ingt on Gump Lots Sex Crimes Lions Club Letter of Earl O. Whittington asking for position in the Maintenance department. Received and Filed. of I Letter of Fred B. Gump asking the City to purchase a parcel Ocean Avenue property at 8th Street. Received and Filed. Letter of Lee Howard suggesting that the Council adopt an Ordinance requiring persons convicted of sex crimes to register. It was moved by Brostrom, second by Jacobsen that the City Attorney be directed to prepare such ordinance to be introduced at the next regular meeting. It was moved by Jacobsen, seoond by Leonard that reports be reoeived and filed. Motion oarried Demands numbering 504 to ,597 inolusive amounting to' $10,003.82 as approved by the Finanoe Committee was presented. M. for the purpose of considering the applioation of Mrs. James Kimball for non-oonforming use permit, in advance of the regular meeting hour of 7:30 P.M. Meeting ~as called to order by Mayor Shufelt with salute to the Flag. Pres ent, Absent, lIlayor Shufelt Counoilmen, Bowers. Brostrom. Leonard Councilmen, Jacobsen City Clerk read application of Mrs. Kimball for non-conforming use permit on Nly t of Lot 21, Lots 23 and 25, and Sly * Lot 27, and read the affadavit of mailing of cards and posting of notices. Letter of Mrs. Kimball was also read, withdrawing her request and abandonment of idea of a nursery school. It was moved by Leonard, second by Brostrom that letter of withdrawal be accepted.
