M. for the purpose of considering the applioation of Mrs. James Kimball for non-oonforming use permit, in advance of the regular meeting hour of 7:30 P.M. Meeting ~as called to order by Mayor Shufelt with salute to the Flag. Pres ent, Absent, lIlayor Shufelt Counoilmen, Bowers. Brostrom. Leonard Councilmen, Jacobsen City Clerk read application of Mrs. Kimball for non-conforming use permit on Nly t of Lot 21, Lots 23 and 25, and Sly * Lot 27, and read the affadavit of mailing of cards and posting of notices. Letter of Mrs. Kimball was also read, withdrawing her request and abandonment of idea of a nursery school. It was moved by Leonard, second by Brostrom that letter of withdrawal be accepted. COMMUNICATIONS: Letter of the Disabled American Veterans requeoting permission to conduct annual sale of Forget-me-nots. It was moved by Brostrom. Vets seccnd by Leonard that permission be granted. Motion carried. ' Letter of the Chamber of Commerce to use the name of the City C OF C Rose Parade DeAr- mond of Seal Beach on a float in the Annual Tournament of Roses Parade. It was moved by Leonard, second by Bowers that request be granted. Motion carried Request of Mrs. Jay DeArmond and Mrs. Lynn Turner for the use of the lots on the South West corner of 8th and Central Avenue for Hallow- the Annual Children1s Halloween Party. It was moved by Leonard. AMVETS City Truck second by Bowers. that request be granted. Motion carried Letter of William H. Taylor Jr., Commander AMVET Post 54 of I Seal Beach, requesting the use of a city truck to be driven by the donated services of a city employee, and to be used as a stage for the Magician act, presented at the Annual Children1e Halloween Party. It was moved by Leonard, second by Bowers to dispense with the reading of Ordinance 383 and deem ita,s having had its second reading, and be adopted.
