Tuesday, November 12, 2013 CALL TO ORDER PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE COUNCIL ROLL CALL APPROVAL OF AGENDA & WAIVER OF FULL READING OF RESOLUTIONS & ORDINANCES By motion of the City Council this is the time to notify the public of any changes to the agenda and/or rearrange the order of the agenda. PRESENTATIONS/RECOGNITIONS Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month 2013 ORAL COMMUNICATIONS At this time members of the public may address the Council regarding any items within the subject matter jurisdiction of the City Council. Pursuant to the Brown Act, the Council cannot discuss or take action on any items not on the agenda unless authorized by law. Matters not on the agenda may, at the Council’s discretion, be referred to the City Manager and placed on a future agenda. Those members of the public wishing to speak are asked to come forward to the microphone and state their name for the record. All speakers will be limited to a period of 5 minutes. Tuesday, November 12, 2013 CONSENT CALENDAR Items on the consent calendar are considered to be routine and are enacted by a single motion with the exception of items previously removed by Council. *A. Minutes of the City Council/Executive Team Goal Review Session of October 21, 2013 and the Adjourned and Regular City Council meeting of October 28, 2013 – Approve by minute order. *B. Demands on City Treasury – Ratification. Warrants: 100573-100860 $972,617.18 Year-to-Date: $14,204,170.05 Payroll: $1,021,626.76 Year-to-Date: $ 4,120,608.33 Direct Deposits& Checks Year-to-date are actual cash disbursements and do not reflect actual expenditures due to year-end accruals. *C. Seal Beach Municipal Code – Prohibited Animals – Waive further Ordinance No. 1633 reading and adopt amending Section 7.05.120 of the Municipal Code to prohibit the keeping of pigs of any size, kind, or sex. *D. 2013 Annual Concrete Project No. ST1205 Resolution No. – Adopt 6420 formally accepting completion of the project, file the Notice of Completion with the County of Orange, and release the retention, and approve the amendment to the contract. (Above All Names Construction Services, Inc. total cost of the project – $61,114.75) *E. Marina Storm Drain Project No. SD1201 Resolution No. 6421 – Adopt formally accepting completion of the project, file the Notice of Completion with the County of Orange, and release the retention. G. 2013 Seal Beach Building CodeOrdinance No. 1634 – Introduce amending the Municipal Code (Title 9 – Chapter 60) to adopt the 2013 California Building Standards Code and Related Model and Uniform Codes and set the public hearing and second reading of the ordinance for the regular City Council meeting on December 9, 2013.
