HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC Res 6442 2014-03-10RESOLUTION NUMBER 6442 A RESOLUTION OF THE SEAL BEACH CITY COUNCIL AMENDING THE 2013 -2014 FEE RESOLUTION TO INCORPORATE THE BUILDING DIVISION FEE REVISIONS Section 1. The City of Seal Beach is authorized empowered to impose ' reasonable fees, rates, and charges for municipal services that do not exceed the City's related costs. Section 2. A Building Division Fee Study Report has been prepared by Traw Associates Consulting has determined that certain Building Division fees, rates, and charges for municipal services can be reduced and modified and still reasonably cover the actual costs to conduct such service without exceeding those costs. Section 3. The City Council hereby amends the City's Building Division Fees to cover or substantially cover its actual costs as indicated below: A. Duplication Fees — Approved Plans 1. Building valuation data sheet shall be used in conjunction with the fee schedule established in Section 2.C.1. The construction valuation data table should be updated on a yearly basis to be consistent with published national Resolution Number 6442 data such as the tables periodically produced by the International Code Council (ICC) htt: / /www.iccsafe.org or the County of Los Angeles. The source of that sheet shall be the most current Building Valuation Data posted and updated bi- yearly on the website of the International Code Council website: http: / /www.iccsafe.org. 3. The fees stated in preceding section of this Resolution, insofar as they are substantially the same as fees previously adopted by the City relating to the same matter, shall be construed as restatements and continuations, and not as newly enacted fees. Section 5. The City Clerk shall add the Building Division fees, as amended, to the City's fee schedule.
