A RESOLUTION OF THE SEAL BEACH CITY COUNCIL
AMENDING THE 2013-2014 FEE RESOLUTION TO
INCORPORATE THE FILMING CHARGES AND FEES REVISION
• Section 1. The City of Seal Beach is authorized and empowered to impose
reasonable fees, rates, and charges for municipal services that do not exceed
the City's relatedcosts.
Section 2. Sergeant Steve Bowles has prepared a staff report establishing the
basis and reasonableness of the fee for the use of the City of Seal Beach Police
Jail.
Section 3. The City Council hereby amends the City's Filming Charges and
fees to add subsection C.4 to Section 7, as follows:
SECTION 7. FILMING CHARGES & FEES
A. Commercial Still Photography
1. Annual permit applicatiori'fee $50
2. Business license $212 per fiscal year
(Additionally each Business License is subject to an additional
State-mandated fee of$1 which must be collected by the City.)
3. Location fee — general $100 per day
B. Motion Picture, Including Video
1. Permit application fee $150
2. Expedited film permit $300
$212 per fiscal
3. Business license year
(Additionally each Business License is subject to an additional
State-mandated fee of $1 which must be collected by the City.)
4. Location fee - general $400 per day
C. Use of City Property — in addition to general location fee
1. Beach, Pier, and/or Park Area $300 per day
2. Lifeguard Station - interior $200 per day
3. City Hall $200 per day
4. Police Jail $500 per day
NOTE: Use of other City property will be charged applicable fees identified elsewhere in this
Resolution or by determination of the City Manager's Office.
D. Use of Personnel
1. City Personnel Reimbursed at the fully burdened rate
E. Use of City Equipment and Vehicles Market rental rates
F. Use of City Parking Lots
1. Winter period (September 16th through May 14th) $12 per space
2. Summer period (May 15th through September 15th) $18 per space
NOTE: Use of and fees for beach parking lots subject to arrangements through ABM Parking.
Section 4. Except as expressly amended by this Resolution, the City's fees
shall remain otherwise unchanged. The fees stated in preceding section of this
Resolution, insofar as they are substantially the same as fees previously adopted
by the City relating to the same matter, shall be construed as restatements and
continuations, and not as newly enacted fees.
Section 5. The City Clerk shall add the filming charges and fees, as amended,
