A RESOLUTION OF THE SEAL BEACH CITY COUNCIL
AWARDING THE CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT FOR THE SEAL
BEACH BOULEVARD AND LAMPSON AVENUE LANDSCAPE
IMPROVEMENT PROJECT ST 1410, AND APPROVING THE
REMOVAL OF 20 EUCALYPTUS TREES IN CONNECTION
THERETO
THE SEAL BEACH CITY COUNCIL DOES HEREBY RESOLVE:
SECTION 1. On June 9, 2014, the City Council held a duly notice public hearing
to consider the removal and replacement of 20 eucalyptus trees as part of the
Seal Beach Boulevard and Lampson Avenue Landscape Improvement Project
ST 1410 (the "Project'), and pursuant to recommendations in a Eucalyptus Tree
Study Report prepared by a certified arborist. Based on the record of that
hearing, the City Council hereby finds that removal of the 20 eucalyptus trees is
consistent with the public health, safety and welfare because the trees are in a
condition of poor health and /or pose a threat to the safety of persons and
property.
SECTION 2. The City Council hereby approves the plans and specifications for
the Seal Beach Boulevard and Lampson Avenue Landscape Improvement
Project ST 1410 (the "Project').
SECTION 3. The City Council. hereby approves Budget Amendment 14 -11 -01 in
the amount of $527,112 allocating existing Community Facility District Funds to
fund the design and construction of this project

SECTION 4. The City Council hereby awards a contract to Jeff Tracy, Inc., dba
Land Forms Construction for the Project in the amount of $491,111.75.
SECTION 5. The City Council hereby authorizes and directs the City Manager to
execute the contract on behalf of the City.
SECTION 6. The City Council hereby authorizes the City Manager to approve
payments for additional work requests in connection with the Project in the
cumulative amount of $15,000.
SECTION 7. The City Council hereby authorizes $21,000 for construction
management and inspection in connection with the Project.
