OF TIlE CITY OF SEAL BEACH DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: I SECTION ONE. Subsection 1 of Section 28-1804 of Chapter 28 (Zoning Ordinance) of the Code of the City of Seal Beach, California relating to signs permitted in residential zones is amended to read as follows: 'Section 28-1804. Permitted Silms. 1. RLD and RMD Zones. The following signs are permitted in the RLD and RMD zones, subject to the following reasonable time, place and manner restrictions: (a) One unlighted sign, not exceeding six square feet in area, pertaining to the sale, lease or rental of the property on which the sign is displayed. (b) One nameplate, not exceeding six inches by eighteen inches, containing the name of the occupant of the property on which the sign is displayed. ' (c) Construction signs, identifying persons engaged in construction on the property on which the sign is displayed, which shall be placed for a period not to exceed six (6) months. Sign size shall not exceed six square feet. I (d) Identification signs for planned communities, not to exceed twenty-five square feet in area. Number, location, size, shape, materials and form shall be subject to ~~. approval of the Director of Development Services. (e) Subdivision signs, not to exceed one hundred square feet in surface area, for a period not to exceed twelve months after recordation of final tract map. Number, location, size, shape, materials and form of sign shall be subject to approval of the Director of Development Services. (f) In addition to the signs permitted by subsections (a) through (e), not more than two signs, neither of which exceeds twenty-four inches by thirty-six inches in size, may be placed onto each property. · SECTION TWO. If any section, subsection, sentence, clause, phrase or portion of this Ordinanc~ is for any reason held to be invalid or unconstitutional by the decision of any court of competent jurisdiction, such decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions of this Ordinance. The City Council hereby declares that it would have adopted this Ordinance and each section, subsection, sentence, clause, phrase, or portion thereot: irrespective of the fact that any one or more sections, subsections, phrases, or portions be declared invalid or unconstitutional.
