Home My WebLink AboutCC Ord 1385 1994-08-08 ORDINANCE NUMBER I~ AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SEAL BEACH, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING CHAPTER 4 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF SEAL BEACH RELATING TO BEACHES AND PIERS THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEAL BEACH DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: I Section 1. Chapter 4, section 4-9 of the Code of the City of Seal Beach is hereby amended to read as follows: "Section 4-9. Climbina. Divina or JumDina Prohibited. It shall be unlawful for any person to dive, jump or enter the water from, or to climb upon, any public pier, public bridge, public wharf, seawall, groins, jetties, lifeguard towers, or natural rock formation on City property; provided, however, that this prohibition shall not apply to any lifeguard, City employee, or marine safety officer acting in the discharge of official duties, including emergency rescue operations and training maneuvers." section 2. Chapter 4 of the Code hereby amended to add follows: of the city of Seal Beach is Section 4-2~ to read as '/ I "section 4-211.1 Fires Prohibited. 9'1,., It shall be unlawful for any person to build, light or maintain any barbecue, campfire, cookout, lantern or any other incendiary device of any kind whatsoever, upon any portion of the municipal pier located at the southerly end of Main Street in the City."
