Section 2A-I, Definitions, Fire Department. 'is hereby amended to read as follows: Fire Authoritv. Shall mean the Orange County Fire Authority and the Emergency Response Agency. Section 2. Section 2A-5 is hereby amended to read as follows: Section 2A-5. Burl!lar Alarm Svstem - Direct Alarm/Auulication and Fee. Any person desiring to obtain an alann pennit for a direct alann system shall file a written application therefore on a fonn supplied by the Police Department, with the Police Department or its deSignated agent, which may include a licensee of the: City of Seal Beach. The application shall include the following: . r I. 2. 3. The applicant's name, address and telephone number; The address and telephone number of the premises which the alann system is to serve, Evidence showing that all necessar)' arrangements with the telephone company have been made; A complete set of written specifications adequately describing the equipment and placement of such alann systems; The names, addresses and telephone numbers of at least two (2) persons to be contacted in the event of an emergency; The names, addresses and telephone numbers of at least two (2) persons authorized to respond and open the premises at which the alann system is located. The applicant's alarm business may be included as one of these persons. 4. 5. 6. The permit applicant shall pay an annual fee to the City of Seal Beach or to the City's licensee. The annual fee for a direct a1ann shall be set by resolution of the City Council. The pennit shall be effective from July I through June 30 of each calendar year. Section 3. Section 2A-S is hereby amended to read as follows: Section 2A-S. Alarm Svstem - Indirect Alarm/Auulication and Fee. Any person desiring to obtain an indirect a1ann pennit for a burglar a1ann system shall file a written application therefore, on a form supplied by the Police Department, \\ith the Police Department or its designated agent. Any person desiring to obtain an indirect alann pennit for a fire alann system shall file a written application therefore. on a fonn supplied by the Fire Authorit)" with the Fire Authorit). or its designated agent. The application shall include the follo\\ing infonnation: I. The applicant's name, address and telephone number. 2. The address and telephone number of the premises which the alarm system is to serve; 3. The make, manufacturer and model number of the device; 4. The place of purchase, and the person, firm or corporation who will service it: Ordinance Number ~ 5. The exact location of the device(s): 6. The name, address and telephone number of a person to be notified in the event of an emergency; 7. The names, addresses and telephone numbers of two (2) persons authorized to respond and open the premises at which the alann system is located. Section 2A-21 (2-B) is hereby amended to read as follows: Section 2A-21. (2B) B. The owner or lessee of the alarm system shall be assessed penalty fees for any false alarms above the initial two (2) false alarms in a twelve (12) month period. The false alarm penalty fees shall be set forth by resolution of the City Council. Such fees shall be paid to the City Treasurer or the Treasurer's designee for deposit in the General Fund.
