Home My WebLink AboutCC Ord 1408 1996-08-12 ORDINANCE NUMBER~ AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEAL BEACH, CALIFORNIA REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 661 UPON THE EXPIRATION OF A FRANCHISE GRANTED TO STANDARD GAS COMPANY AND ITS SUCCESSOR IN INTEREST, CHEVRON USA, AND ORDERING THE RELEASE OF THE SURETY BOND REQUIRED THEREIN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEAL BEACH DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: I Section I. Ordinance No. 661, granting a 30-year franchise to Standard Gas Company, and its successor in interest, Chevron USA, is hereby repealed, the franchise granted therein having expired by its own tenns on April 19th, 1995. Section 2. ordinance. This ordinance shall not affect any franchise granted or extended by any other Section 3. The repeal of Ordinance No. 661 is categorically exempt from review under the California Environmental Quality Act ("CEQA") Guidelines Sections 15261(b) and 15628. Section 4. The franchise having expired, Surety Bond No. U 80 5120 - 152 is hereby released. The City Clerk is directed to return the original of the Surety Bond to the designated representative of Chevron USA, Inc.
