Home My WebLink AboutCC Ord 1323 1991-01-14 PROPOSED ORDINANCE NUMBER ";f~:S AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEAL BEACH PROHIBITING BOW AND ARROW, CROSS BOW AND ARROW, MANUAL OR MECHANICAL SPEAR DEVICES FOR FISHING AND AMENDING CHAPTER 4 OF THE SEAL BEACH MUNICIPAL CODE THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEAL BEACH DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Section 4-24 is hereby amended to add Article I 11 to Chapter 4 of the Seal Beach Municipal Code as follows: section 4-24. Bow and Arrow Fishina Prohibited It shall be unlawful for any person to use or have under hiS/her control or possession; bow and arrow, cross bow and arrow or any manual or mechanical spear devices for purposes of fishing upon the municipal pier, pUblic beach, pUblic bridges, public wharf, seawall, groins, jetties, ocean waters or other natural formation on city property or public lands. The Seal Beach Police Department has the authority to prohibit, restrict or otherwise regulate in the interest of public health, safety and welfare. Section 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this ordinance and shall cause the same to be published as required by law and the same shall take effect as provided by law.
