Home My WebLink AboutCC Ord 1327 1991-12-09 I I I ORDINANCE NUMBER ~1 , AN ORDINANCE OF THE; CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEAL BEACH, CALIFORNIA, CALLING AND GIVING NOTICE OF THE HOLDING OF A PRIMARY MUNICIPAL ELECTION TO BE HELDI IN THE CITY ON TUESDAY,' MARCH 31, 1992, FOR THE ELECTION OF CERTAI~ OFFICERS OF THE CITY AS REQUIRED BY THE PROVISIONS OF THE CHARTER OF THE CITY OF SEAL BEACH I WHEREAS, under the provisions of the Charter of the city of Seal Beach, california, a Primary Municipal Election shall be held on March 31, 1992, for the election of Municipal Officers. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY !OF SEAL BEACH, CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: i Section 1. Section 2, Section 3. Section 4. section 5. Section 6. Section 7. , That pursuant ito the requirements of the Charter of the City of Seal Beach, California, there is called and ordered, ~o be held in the City of Seal Beach, County of Orange, State of California, on Tuesday, March 31, 1992, a Primary Municipal Election for the purpose of electing one (1) member of the City Council from Councilmanic District Two for the full , term of four years; one (1) member of the city Council from Councilmanic District Four for the full term of four years; one (1) member of the city Council from Councilmanic District Five for the short term of ,two years; a City Clerk, citywide, for the full term of four years. That the ballqts to be used at the election shall be in form and c~ntent as required by law. That the City 'Clerk of the City is authorized, instructed and directed to procure and furnish any and all official ballots, notices, printed matter and all supplies, equipment and paraphernalia that may be necess~ry in order to properly and lawfully conduct the election. , That the polls for the election shall be open at seven 0Iclock:(7:00) a.m. of the same day of the election and shall remain open continuously from that time until eight o'clock (8:00) p.m. of the same day when ,the polls shall be closed, except as provided in section 14301 of the Elections Code of the State of California. That in all particulars not recited in this ordinance, the election shall be held and conducted as provided b* law for holding municipal elections. That notice of the time and place of holding the election is g~ven and the City Clerk is authorized, instructed and directed to give such further or additional notice of the election, in time, form and manner as required by law, , That the City,clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this Ordinance, shall cause the same to be published as required by law, shall make a minute of the passage and adoption thereof in the records of the proceedings of the City Council of said city in the minutes of the meeting at which the same is passed and adopted, Ordinance Number /~"t 1 / Section 8.
