Home My WebLink AboutCC Ord 1286 Not Adopted N U M B E R ,(.2J'h AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SEAL BEACH AMENDING THE ZONING REGULATIONS GOVERNING THE HEIGHT OF FENCES ADJOINING ARTERIAL HIGHWAYS The city Council of the City of Seal Beach does hereby ordain: section 1: Section 2: Article 23 of Chapter 28 of the Code of the Citv of Seal Beach is hereby amended by amending sub- paragraph (H) of Sub-section (2) of Paragraph 2 of Section 28-2316 to read: I (2) Along the following streets: AllllOnd Avenue Balboa Drive from Pacific Coast Highway to Bolsa Avenue Bolsa Avenue First street Lampson Avenue Marina Drive Article 23 of Chapter 28 of the Code of the City of Seal Beach is hereby amended by added Sub- paragraph (K) of sub-section (2) of Paragraph 2 of section 28-2316 to read: (X) Ten (10) Foot Fences. In the following cases, ten (10) foot fences may be constructed where eight (8) fo~t- fences are_ permitted by this chapter subject to a Minor Plan Review by the Planning Commission: I ( 1) Along the following streets: pacific Coast Highway San Diego Freeway Seal Beach Boulevard Westminster Avenue (2) Ten (10) foot fences may be approved, subject to the following: (a) Additions or enlargements of an existing fence will match existing materials and textures. Dissimilar block color' or texture will be stuccoed and painted off- white or light earth tones. Final texture and color will be at the discretion of the Planning Commission. (b) Wood additions on top of an existing block wall will be permitted providing that a solid, consistent wood siding is used, and lateral supports face the private I property. Maximum height of a wood addition will be 3'on. (c) Any wall that is stuccoed or painted will be maintained in good appearance. (d) Consistent tract wall themes should be developed for areas such as College Park East, Leisure World, and the nHilln area.
