Home My WebLink AboutCC Ord 1298 1990-02-12 I I I " \ ORDINANCE NUMBER /~9J AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SEAL BEACH AMEriDING CHAPTER 4 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF SEAL BEACH RELATING TO FISHING FROM THE PUBLIC BEACH AND THE Mt'NICIPAL PIER THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEAL BEACH DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: section 1. Chapter 4 of Article I of the Code of the city of Seal Beach, California, is hereby amended by adding thereto Section 4-8.8 to read as follows: "section 4-8.8. Fishinq From Beaches. Each person fishing from the public beach shall at all times have due regard, for the safety of persons on the beach or in the water. The supervising Lifeguard on duty has the authority to prohibit, restrict or otherwise regulate fishing in the interest of public health, safety and welfare. II Section 2. Section 4-20 of Article I of the Code of city of Seal Beach, California is hereby amended to read as follows: "section 4-20. Fishinq From - Generallv. No person in fishing from t:le pier shall cast his line out overhead or across the deck of the pier and shall at all times have due regard for the safety of others. The Supervising Lifeguard on duty has the authority to prohibit, restrict or otherwise regulate fishing in the interest of pUblic health, safety and welfare." Ordinance Number I:lJ;8 section 3.
