Home My WebLink AboutCC Res 5176 2003-10-13 RESOLUTION NUMBER~~ , A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEAL BEACH, CALIFORNIA INCORPORATING CERTAIN WAGE/BENEFITS FOR WINTER CREW LIFEGUARDS INTO THE PART-TIME, HOURLY AND SEASONAL SALARY SCHEDULE AND REPEALING ON THE EFFECTIVE DATES SPECIFIED, ALL RESOLUTIONS IN CONFLICT THEREWITH I WHEREAS, the Government Code of the State of California prescribes a procedure for resolving matters regarding wages, hours and other terms and conditions of employment; and WHEREAS, a limited group of part-time lifeguards work from approximately Labor Day to Memorial Day on the winter crew each year ("part-time winter crew lifeguards'); and WHEREAS, the City of Seal Beach has agreed to provide certain holiday pay and deferred compensation benefits for those part-time lifeguards that exceed or are expected to exceed 1000 hours per fiscal year because of assignment to the winter crew; and WHEREAS, these certain benefits shall be applicable to eligible part-time lifeguards on an annual basis and such language shall be incorporated into the City's Part-Time, Hourly and Seasonal Salary Schedule.
