HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC Res 4910 2001-06-25 I I I RESOLUTION NO. ~O A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEAL I"lEACH ESTAI3LISHING THE RATES AND AMOUNTS OF FEES AND CHARGES FOR GOODS, SERVICES AND FACILITIES PROVIDED I3Y THE CITY OF SEAL BEACH AND SUPERSEDING INCONSISTENT PROVISIONS OF RESOLUTIONS 4114,4195,4234,4250,4442,4494,4499,4519,4545,4550,4650,4718,4751,4816 WHEREAS, the City Council is empowered to impose rcasonable fees, rates, and charges fur municipal services; and WHEREAS, lhe City Council has determined that the fees, rates, and charges should cover tht: costs reasonably borne 01' a substantial portion of the actual costs of lhe goods and services provided by lhe City; and WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that fces, rates, and charges for municipul services do not covcr the actual costs under the current fee schedules; NOW, THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED, the City Council of the City of Seal Beach hereby establishes the amount of certain fees, rates and charges, and restates that amount of olher fees, rates, charges and laxes as follows: SECTION 1. Single-Family Dwclling - A fce 01'$10,000 is imposed upon the construction and occupancy of each single-family dwelling, which results in a net increase to the City's housing stock. Said lee is imposed to onset impacts to the City's existing park and recreation lilcilities caused by the additional single liuuily dwelling. 2. Other Residential uses - A fce of $5,000 is imposed upon the construction and occupancy of each residential dwelling unit, olher than a single-family dwelling, which results in a net increasll in the City's housing stock. Said fee is imposed to offset impacts to the Cily's existing ark and recreation facilities causes by the additional dwelling unit. SI!:CTlON 3.
