RESOLUTION NUMBER 7'; ~ '1
A RESOLUTION OF THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE
CITY OF SEAL BEACH AUTHORIZING PAYMENT IN LIEU
OF TAXES TO THE SEAL BEACH SCHOOL DISTRICT.
WHEREAS, Section 33401 of the Health and Safety Code authorizes payment
by a redevelopment agency to a school district containing
territory located within a project area; and
WHEREAS, the Seal Beach School District does contain territory within
the boundaries of the Project Area of the Seal Beach Redevelop-
ment Agency; and
WHEREAS, the Redevelopment Agency has provided financial assistance
totaling $137,500 to said School District for capital expenses
during the past five years; and
WHEREAS, the Redevelopment Agency wishes to continue a policy of providing
financial assistance to the Seal Beach School District in order
to continue programs that involve community-wide usage of district
facilities;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Redevelopment Agency of the City of
Seal Beach does resolve to pay $37,500 to the Seal Beach School District for fiscal
to alleviate any financial burden or detriment caused by the Seal Beach year 1975-76
Redevelopment Project, and to insure the continuation of free community-
wide use of district facilities as outlined in attached Exhibit A.

The school district has completed the installation and construction
o~ buildings, ~acilities, structures, and other improvements owned
by the school district and o~ bene~it to the Agency Project Area ~t
the McGaugh School and Zoeter School. The ~acilities at these
schools are used not only ~or ~ormal educational purposes ~or chil-
dren but also ~or community-wide purposes, including but not limited
to recreation, athletics, adult education, nursery sChools, clubs,
cultural activities, public meetings, learning resources, charity
events, etc.
