SUMMARRY REPORT
Scope of Work-per contract
As your consultant I will serve as the City's liaison and report back to you to keep you informed as to the
progress and/or process of the projects listed below. I will provide proactive and strategic
communications consulting services for the purpose of relationship building, liaison services, stakeholder
relations,outreach,and targeted actions to gather comprehensive project/process information regarding:
1. SEADIP(Southeast Area Development and Improvement Plan)
2. Oil/gas properties(BP and others)
3. Long Beach Transit(municipal public transportation)
The goal of this communications plan is to create,build and maintain ongoing relationships with key
individuals and organizations to benefit the City;to provide the City with a"seat-at-the-table"during
neighborhood organization meetings,community and business meetings,and government and project
presentations/updates.
Deliverables:
1. SEADIP: CurrentlOngoing
Southeast Area Development and Improvement Plan
Attended all community outreach meetings:wetlands,stakeholder,business,
Attended all city of Long Beach meetings: council,major,planning and building depts
Built relationships with area stakeholders: PCH and 2n , MarketPlace,Pumpkin Patch
Kept manager/city depts. informed of upcoming projects and plans for the area
2. MAGTEK: CurrentlOngoing
Created and built business relationship
In process of securing past UUT balances
3. Sports Complex: Complete
Created open dialogue between stakeholders
Successfully negotiated issues and solutions between DTS,NIAGTEK and the sports complex
Successfully presented a unified position among stakeholders prior to going before council for approval
4. BP/Tesoro: CurrentlOngoing
Assist with gas station/property clean up
This is currently ongoing.BP has been sold to Tesoro
There are many details involved;Tesoro is trying to define responsibility
5. Long Beach Transit: ConWlete
Successfully built relationship between the City of Seal Beach and Long Beach
Bus service was reinstated into Seal Beach
6. Coastal Commission: Currentl0agoing
Goal is to build and develop a better Seal Beach relationship with the commission
7. Taco Surf/Surfside:In-Progress
Assisting with noise dispute resolution
Assist with meeting goals to get CUP approval
Currently in discussions to reaching goals between owners of Taco Surf and the SurfSide Colony
8. Pier: Put On-hold
Business development
Researched and brought-in potential tenant
9. Towing: CurrentlIn-Progress
Assisting with business development and retention within the contract guidelines
10.BrietBurn: CarrentlOn-going
Develop business relationship with city employees

COMPENSATION
This is a twelve month proposal,with a monthly retainer of two thousand dollars($2,000,00),payable
on the 15"'of each month.
Expense Reimbursement
The City will reimbursefor all reasonable om-of-pocket expenses incurred,such as business meals and
parldug.Appropriate receipts will be submitted for such expenacs;AND that any expense hi excess of
eighty dollars($80,00)per mouth must be pre-approved by city.
