"National Preparedness Month"
September 2015
"A Time to Remember, A Time to Prepare"
WHEREAS, the Nation has had many natural disasters that have
tested response ability across all levels of government; and
WHEREAS, the coalition of West Orange County Regional
Emergency Response Team (West County CERT) cities will be
hosting a free training program, which will educate citizens in how
to be better prepared to respond and recover from a disaster; and
WHEREAS, this September also marks the 14th anniversary of the
tragic events of September 11, 2001, which united our country both
in our shared grief and our determination to prevent future
generations from experiencing similar devastation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT PROCLAIMED, that the City of Seal
Beach City Council does hereby recognize the month of September
as:
"NATIONAL PREPARE D ... MONTIVO
AND, BE IT FURTHER PROCLAIMED, that the City of Seal Beach
encourages all residents to recognize the importance of
preparedness and observe the month by working together to
enhance our national and local security, resilience, and readiness.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I hereby affix my signature and the seal of
the City of Seal Beach this twenty-eighth day of September in the
year Two Thousand and Fifteen.
