Page 13 Check# 116221 Thomson Reuters- West 331 This is an information services subscription that is used by the Police Department. Item F: Q1) How much would an employee cost salary-wise? This is an authorized position in the budget, and this contract is for temporary services until the position is filled. Including pension liability? The fully burdened hourly rate in the budget is $47.69. Q2) What exactly does code enforcement do? What have we been doing the past few months? Code Enforcement is responsible for responding to complaints of violations of the Municipal Code. Typical complaints addressed through code enforcement include building, planning, public nuisance and noise. Currently complaints have been addressed by the rest of the department staff. The Building Inspector and Planners have coordinated to address complaints as they are received. However, this has delayed response times because these items are added to the existing duties they are responsible for. Q3) If we haven't see issues in the past few months, is this necessary? The department staff has been responding to complaints as quickly as possible but residents have expressed concern over delayed response time. A dedicated person is required to address new complaints and monitor correction timelines for ongoing cases. Q4) Under 1.1 in Professional Services Agreement, it references Exhibit A for what services are covered. Is this in the packet or did I miss this? Anderson Pena Partners will be expected to provide code enforcement services that include inspections, report writing, investigative procedures, along with communication and good customer service. The statement of qualifications and fees were inadvertently left out of the agenda packets but were forwarded via email to the Council this morning along with the HR Green statement of qualifications and fee schedule for reference. Item G Q1) Is there a before /after analysis on these? Q2) Is this the best you feel we can do renewing these leases?
