Questions for CM 06-12-2017
ITEM A:
Why was Parking Authority chosen for this? The answer to this question will be addressed this
evening.
What are the consequences if we do not do this? If the JPA is not updated the City will not be able to
issue debt in the capital markets.
ITEM E:
Page 4
Check 1384 Beehive Industries LLC $9,900
What is Beehive bundle? This is a work order management system used by Public Works.
Page 5
Check 1390 City of Cypress $223,477.50
What is 2"d-Install Dispatch Software? Which Item does this relate to? This payment represents 50%of
the City's share of cost for the new CAD/RMS system.

Check 1413 Golden Touch Cleaning $12,133
Is this for several months?Seems a little high for cleaning. This payment is for one month at multiple
City facilities.

Check 1546 Synoptek $4,777
Nimble SAN Support-4 Hour Parts. Could you explain what this was for? This is the warranty renewal
for the SAN. With this warranty, Nimble is guaranteeing replacement parts and labor within four
hours of a reported issue. This is common for server/SAN vendors.
ITEM F:
What are the areas that will be addressed by the committee? This committee will review data, reports,
and potential policies generated through the Joint Land Use Study (JLUS) process. The intent of the
JLUS is to identify any areas of impact (existing and potential) that result from the proximity and use
of the Naval base to the surrounding communities in order to find recommendations and policies to
ease these impacts. Some areas already identified are the effects of the Anaheim Bay Jetties on sand
erosion at East Beach and the Navy's continued request for review of all cell tower modifications to
ensure they do not interfere with operations on the base.
ITEM I:
Is there an exemption for business licenses if the business makes under 25K a year? Yes there is an
exemption as indicated on page 36 of 40. The senior citizen exemption for all persons age 65 and over
that make under$10,000 per year for home occupations is indicated on page 38 of 40. I found the
language difficult to see if this is for just the year prior to their license or is there some kind of ongoing
exemption? For both exemptions, the full license fee is due, plus a processing fee, in the first year as
there is no business history. In the second year, with appropriate tax records, the license amount is
refunded less a $25 processing fee.
