Subject: 17/18 Budget Questions for Tonight
For the "Contract Professional" item I noticed a number of increases. Can you please let me know:
P. 127 shows $150k -what is this for? I do not see $150,000 on page 127, Contract Professional is unchanged from
budget to budget
P. 144 shows an increase from $82.9k to $126.9k. What is this attributed to? On page 145, the increase is primarily due
to the maintenance at West End Pump Station
Why on p. 161 the increase is from $151,400 to $206,500? These are the costs that the department has provided
support for, there are 9 services that make up this number.
On p. 186/7, Senior Meals costs and North SB Comm. Center total cost? Does that equal the $71,300 budgeted? Yes,
Senior Meals are $60,000 and $11,300 is for the parking agreement with the shopping center
On p. 201, the $45k is shown for the first time. What does this cover besides "Beach Water Watcher Tags "? And is this
for the "residential pool" water watchers? This question was answered in a previous e-mail, sent earlier today
P. 68 - Can you itemize the Government Investment and Transportation Mgmt? What specifically is Gov. Investment? I
am not seeing either of the items you are referring to on page 68. Perhaps you are referring to Gov Invest and
Transparency Management, both of which are new software programs that will assist the City with long range financial
management plans.
For 304 Retirement Obl. Fund - was there no payments in prior years for acct. no. 304 - 081 -4788 & why not? Is this a
revenue in GF or sewer fund? This question was answered in a previous e-mail, sent out earlier today
P. 20 shows the Refuse Services budget higher than actual /budgeted in 15/16,16/17 and 17/18. Is this a one time
occurrence? This question was answered in a previous e-mail, sent earlier today
P. 71 show the Office and Tech. item increasing substantially from 15/16 actuals ($19k). Why the big increase? This
question was answered in a previous e-mail, sent earlier today
S. Myrter had two vehicles ($80k skip loader and $50k police car) for a total of $130. P. 237 shows budgeted amount=
$260k. Is there a reason for the difference? The Budget book is correct.
Thanks,
Mike
