Danes, P.E., Director of Public Works/City Engineer SUBJECT: BOLSA STORAGE FACILITY, 13070 OLD BOLSA CMCA ROAD, WATER CONNECTION REQUEST SUMMARY OF REQUEST: The proposed action will provide for a water service connection to the proposed Bolsa Storage Facility development at 13070 Old Bolsa Chica Road which is located in the City of Westminster. 13070 Old Bolas Chica Road, which is in the City of Westminster, fronts Old Bolsa Chien Road, which is in the City of Seal Beach. The City of Westminster has advised the City of Seal Beach that it does not have the necessary water facilities in the area to serve the proposed development and have agreed to allow the City of Seal Beach to provide the water service. The City of Seal Beach has a water line in Old Bolsa Chica Road which can provide the requested water service. Staff has reviewed the request and finds that the water connection is acceptable and recommends approval. All costs and all water service and water connection fees will be paid directly to City of Seal Beach by the developer. FISCAL IMPACT: There are no fiscal impacts since the developer will pay for all fees associated with plan check, construction, inspection, and water service and connection fees. We have no existing water lines adjacent to the project, and it would not be feasible to add new water lines at this time.
