Traditionally, these recipients of City recognition are the ones who have achieved at least 100 community service hours in the past year. In addition, we would like you to recognize two individuals who are graduating and have earned their Leo Award of Honor for achieving 500 community service hours in their years as a Leo. Those recipients are: A Adam Denny 158 Community Service Hours 01 -02 Age -15 Bryce Bannerman 121 Community Service Hours 01 -02 Age -17 Jasa Denny 111 Community Service Hours 01 -02 Age -14 Kris Ahrens 107 Community Service Hours 01 -02 Age -16 Chad Surtrum 106 Community Service Hours 02 -02 Age -15 Ker.i DaPron 100 Community Service Hours 01 -02 Age -17 ,� 633 Community Service Hours 97 -02 Grant Newton 551 Community Service Hours 97 -02 Age -18 A Paget City of Seal Beach May B, 2002 In the past, the City has presented them with certificates at the last Council meeting in May or early June. You could also do this at the Leo's Community Support Night on May 201h. As 6 final note, I wanted you to know that the Seal Beach Leo Club recently had its five -year anniversary. In those five years, more than 200 youth from Seal Beach and surrounding areas have performed 7,430 community service hours and have donated $27,034 to community programs and other charities. Yes, the Spirit of volunteerism is alive in the youth of Seal Beach. Please let me know how you want to handle the recognition.
