The terms of this contract remain the same. BACKGROUND: Commencing July 1, 2002, the Seal Beach Police Department will continue its contract with the City of Long Beach for animal control service at $13,500 for the fiscal year 2002 -2003. The City has received an appropriate level of service from the City of Long Beach during the period of 2001 -2002. FISCAL IMPACT: There is no negative impact. The cost of $13,500 will provide the same services as for the previous financial year and is budgeted accordingly. RECOMMENDATION: It is recommended that the City's after hours animal control service contract with the City of Long Beach be maintained for the financial year 2002 -2003 and that City Staff be directed to sign the new Agreement for Animal Control Services between the City of Long Beach and the City of Seal Beach.
