Director of Public Works/City Engineer SUBJECT: Budget Amendments SUMMARY OF REOUEST: Staff requests City Council approve the following budget amendment. The Engineering Department is requesting a Budget Amendment from the General Undesignated Fund. The Engineering Department submitted a grant request for the County of Orange Urban Water Runoff Grant Program for the installation of storm drain filters. These filters are the second phase of the grant program and this request was awarded in February of 2002. The Engineering Department is a requesting a budget amendment of $37,484 to cover the matching funds commitment. FISCAL IMPACT: The total proposed budget amendment is $37,484. This matching fee is for the County of Orange Urban Water Runoff Grant Program and will be covered from the general undesignated fund balance. The current general undesignated fund balance is $3,543,825. The proposed general budget amendment will decrease undesignated fund balance by $37,484 to $3,506,341. RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends City Council approve a resolution amending the budget for the County of Orange Urban runoff Grant Program matching fees.
