TO: Honorable Mayor and City Council
THRU: John B. Bahorski, City Manager
FROM: Pamela Arends -King, Director of Administrative Services/Treasurer
SUBJECT: Administration for the Street Lighting
Maintenance District No. 1
SUMMARY OF REOUEST:
Staff requests City Council approve a proposal for Special District Administration of the
Street Lighting Maintenance District No. 1 for Fiscal Year 2002/03.
BACKGROUND:
Since the inception of the Street Lighting Maintenance District No. 1, MuniFinancial, a
Willdan Company has served as the administrator. Approval of this proposal will
provide continuity in administration for this special district.
The 2002 /03 Annual Levy of Assessment for the Street Lighting Maintenance District
No. 1 will proceed as in years' past. MuniFinancial will review appropriations, compute
the assessment for each parcel, prepare the Engineer's Report, attend the council meeting
and public hearing and place assessment on the County's Assessor's Roll.
FISCAL IMPACT:
MuniFinancial propose a lump sum fee of $9,500 payable quarterly on a percentage
completion basis as the work progresses. This fee is $474 less than the prior fiscal year
fees. The fees do not impact the General Fund because they are assessed to each parcel.
