HomeMy WebLinkAboutItem DOctober 22, 2001 TO: Honorable Mayor and City Council FROM: City Clerk RE: Ad Hoc Water Quality Control Committee An Ad Hoc Water Quality Control Committee was established in November, 2000 with an appointed membership of ten persons: Rallie Rallis Kim or Steve Masoner Raymond Fortner Lewis Eversmeyer John Wright Mike Balchin Stephen Ostrich Jack Healy Matt Mikkelsen Gary O'Neil The goal of the Committee was to identify and discuss water quality issues of interest to this community, and to participate in the formulation of a Stormwater and Urban Runoff water Quality Plan. The Water Quality Plan was formally adopted by the City Council at the September lo`" meeting. With the goal of the Committee accomplished, it would now be appropriate to disband the Ad Hoc Water Quality Control Committee and forward a letter to each member in appreciation for their services. Jo a Yeo, ity Clerk C of Seal Beach Agenda Itenj- November 14, 2001 Mr. Rallis Rallis 550 Ocean Avenue Seal Beach, California 90740 Dear Mr. Rallis, As you know, in November, 2000 the City Council appointed an Ad Hoc Water Quality Control Committee with a goal to identify and discuss water quality issues of interest to this community and to participate in the formulation of a Stormwater and Urban Runoff Water Quality Plan. The Water Quality Plan was adopted by the Council at their September 10, 2001 meeting, and with the Committee goal having been accomplished, the Council has taken action to disband the Committee. On behalf of Mayor Doane and the City Council please accept their sincere appreciation for the time and effort you devoted to the Committee tasks as well as commendation for an excellent document in the Water Quality Plan.
