Danes, Director of Public Works/City Engineer SUBJECT: ACCEPTANCE OF ON -SITE SODIUM HYPOCHLORITE GENERATION SYSTEM: BEVERLY MANOR, PROJECT #49819 SUMMARY OF REQUEST: The proposed action will formally accept the completion of the construction contract to construct the On -Site Sodium Hypochlorite Generation System: Beverly Manor. BACKGROUND: On November 14, 2000, Council elected to award a project to CLORTEC to convert from gas chlorine disenfection to onsite chlorine generation. In accordance with the plans and specifications, the Contractor has completed the above - referenced project. The breakdown of costs are: Original Contract Price Unit Price Work $ 84,623.00 $ 84,623.00 Contract Total $ 84,623.00 Authorized Payments to date $ 84,623.00 FISCAL IMPACT: Funds were expended under the City's fiscal year 2001/2002 Capital Improvement Program from the On -Site Sodium Hypochlorite Generation System: Beverly Manor Project. Agenda Item 0 RECOMMENDATION: Upon motion of the consent calendar, it is recommended that the City Council: By resolution, determine the work has been completed in accordance with the contract documents and declare the work to be accepted and total amount of the contract is in the sum of $ 84,623.00. Direct the City Clerk, within ten (10) days from the date of acceptance, file a "Notice of Completion" with the Orange County Recorder. irV Douglas A. Danes P.E.
