Streets to be resurfaced are identified in yearly updates to the Pavement Management
Program. The anticipated FY 01/02 program, upon Council approval of the overall CIP
during the budget process, would be the cul de sacs of Fern, Goldenrod, Heather, and Jasmin
along with some repairs to previous rubber overlays that are separating from the pavement.
This priority is based upon the condition of the streets and the amount of tmffic/madway
classification that it receives. The next highest rated residential street would be College Park
Drive and this would be programmed for FY 02/03. Staff is working on refining the entire
pavement management system and will bring a separate report to council.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Funds are available in the City's Capital Improvement Program and from the proceeds of
AB 2928 totaling $295,000. Construction management and inspection is estimated at
$20,000. Any additional funds will be used as project contingency if it is necessary to
make additional repairs and/or reconstruction. Any remaining funds would be
reprogrammed for next year's street program as approved by City Council.
RECOMMENDATION:
Upon motion of the consent calendar, it is recommended that the City Council
I. Award the construction contract for the Annual Paving Rehabilitation FY 2000/2001,
Project 49673 to RJ Noble in the amount of $227,963.17. Authorize the City Manager
to execute the contract for same.
