There is no ADA ramp. Maneuver through a skewed, split or angled crosswalk when lane becomes right turn only Step back onto the curb at the opposite side Our school children depend on safe crosswalks. 5 Specific Issues 5 Intersection Facts Most crashes occur at signalized intersections Most are associated with turning traffic Skew increases crossing distance, increases the speed of turning cars and decreases driver visibility Correlat ion between large radii corners (3x) and higher pedestrian crash rates with right turning vehicles Source: North Central Texas Council of Governments. We all deserve safe crosswalks. This new hazard is not addressed in the FEIR. We respectfully request that you reject the certification of the EIR and deny the CUP request. At a minimum, we request that you direct staff to order a new EIR correcting the many deficiencies we have pointed out, including doing a proper traffic study, as urged by the County of Orange.   8 8
