SUBJECT: ADMINISTRATION FOR SURFSIDE COLONY
ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 2000-1
SUMMARY OF REOUEST:
Staff requests City Council approve a proposal for Special District Administration of
Surfside Colony Assessment District No. 2000-1 for Fiscal Year 2001/02.
BACKGROUND:
Since the inception of the Surfside Colony Assessment District, MuniFinancial, a
Willdan Company has served as the administrator. Approval of this proposal will
provide continuity in administration for this special district.
MuniFinancial will provide base services in regards to Surfside Colony Assessment
District No. 2000-1, which include determining the amount of assessments, place
assessments on the County Assessor's Roll, provide delinquency management, update
and track bond fund balances, and complete the annual filing requirements under revenue
and taxation code section 163. The firm will also provide optional services such as
assessment lien payoffs and bond call spread information.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The fee established for the 2001/2002 Surfside Colony Assessment District No. 2000-1
is $7,570. The fee did not increase from prior fiscal year. Optional fees for lien payoff
requests are $30/request and bond call spread information requests are $300/request. The
fees do not impact the General Fund because they are assessed to each parcel.
