Vince Bodiford This is the last original beach bungalo intact in the city. Led by an effort by Mayor
Deaton, the owners have donated it to the city, and public input will be heard at a public hearing at City
Hall this Thursday evening. We will have full details in The Sun this Thursday morning.

Frank Ellsworth At one time SB owned 106 Central Ave a vacant lot. If they still do, this would be a great
spot for the house and little park!! A real Heritage Park!

Dorothy Owens This house is on 12th. Between Landing and PCH. It is one of the original homes moved
from Anaheim Landing. The house would predate the City of Seal Beach. I believe the owners are going
to develop the property. Knowing the historical significance they are donating it to the city rather than
tear it down. I think it would make an incredible addition to the Red Car Museum location.

Stacia Walker So happy and thankful they are not tearing it down! I was saddened when I saw the fence
surrounding the property. It is a great piece of history.

Linda Griffen The library should do a special section for history of this part of Calif. It's in a unique
position to do that if they can get a qualified archivist to do some start-up work and continue with a
part-time salary and volunteers. Is anyone up for grant -writing?

Yeah Right Betsy It's weird to put it in the one place they never were; where the train tracks ran on the
now -greenbelt. But it's way better than losing it. Such a cool piece of Seal Beach history. Fun to imagine
the whole town full of them.

Sharman Snow What about placing it closer to Anaheim Landing? That's where It was originally. There
might be room available by the Anaheim Landing Plaque or that end of the green belt .....or on the
grassy far end of the boardwalk. I like the idea of a Heritage Park as well Frank Ellsworth.

Kenneth Hayashida Dorothy Owens Thank you for sharing the info on this early home that is remaining
in Seal Beach. Is it known specifically when it was built, who the architect was or the source of the plan,
and who built it? Those factors playa role in defining the historical significance of such a structure.

Sharman Snow Pat Gray Anderson we used to call all that room out front a "yard". Your comment got
me asking myself "do I want this next door to me?" This is a house .... it will take up space. I think Gum
Grove or ask the base to relocate it on the road to Barney's Beach House.
