' A RESOLUTION OF THE SEAL BEACH CITY COUNCIL
AWARDING AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
EXECUTE A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH
SOCAL LAND MANAGEMENT FOR CITYWIDE LANDSCAPE
MAINTENANCE SERVICES
WHEREAS, on November 13, 2017, the City Council of the City of Seal Beach
approved the scope of services for citywide landscape maintenance services;
and
WHEREAS, on March 15, 2018, the City Council issued a request for proposals
(RFP) for citywide landscape maintenance services using the scope of services
previously approved by the City Council on November 13, 2017; and
WHEREAS, on April 19, 2018, the City received six proposals in response to the
RFP, and SoCal Land Maintenance submitted the lowest responsible bid in the
amount of $577,176.08; and
WHEREAS, SoCal Land Maintenance is a qualified firm to provide landscape
maintenance services throughout the City of Seal Beach.
' NOW, THEREFORE, THE SEAL BEACH CITY COUNCIL DOES HEREBY
RESOLVE:
SECTION 1. The City Council hereby awards a professional services agreement
to SoCal land Management for citywide landscape maintenance services in the
total amount of $577,176.08, and rejects all other bids.

SECTION 2. The City Council hereby authorizes and directs the City Manager to
execute the contract on behalf of the City.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED by the Seal Beach City Council at
regular meeting held on the 29th day of May , 2018 by the following vote:
AYES: Council Members: Deaton, Massa-Lavitt, Moore, Sustarsic, Varipapa
NOES: Council Members: None
ABSENT: Council Members: None
